Process principle of membrane separation 
The working principle of the membrane separation system is to get the separation of gases by making use of the membrane macromolecule-polymer to carry out “selected filtration” of the mixed gases. When two or more than two gaseous mixture pass through polymer membrane, due to the fact that the coefficient of dissolving disperse of gases differs from one another in the polymer, it will result in the different velocity of penetration through the wall of the membrane. Thus the gases can be divided into two categories of so-called “Fast gases” (for the membrane of hydrogen separation, such as H2O, H2 and He, etc.) and “Slow gases” (such as N2, CH4 and other hydrocarbons, etc.) When the mixed gas under the function of driving force --- the difference of partial pressures of corresponding components at both sides, those gases with relative faster penetrating velocity will penetrate the membrane wall in priority and being enriched at the side of low-pressure penetration, whereas the gases with relatively slow penetrating velocity will be enriched at high-pressure side so as to realize the separation of between “Fast gases” and “Slow gases”.
